Certainly. EFHD sessions are suitable for people who have some emotional resiliency, are looking to deepen self-awareness and understanding, and (optionally) may have a particular goal or aspiration that they are encountering barriers to achieving. Ultimately, EFHD is a deep change process which can involve subtle or dramatic shifts, be that in your own sense of Self, your confidence, the quieting of self-limiting narratives, or more explicit actions such as supporting you in attaining a specific goal. EFHD is focussed on the present moment and on your future outcomes.
EFPT is a trauma-focussed intervention, highly supportive for people who are experiencing symptoms of anxiety, overwhelm, Acute Stress Disorder, PTSD or Complex/Childhood Developmental PTSD. Initially building emotional regulation and stabilisation, therapy may progress – if you wish – to trauma processing, whereby we explore elements of your past and transform associated maladaptive thought patterns and coping strategies that are hindering your ability to thrive.
If you are seeking a gently immersive yet passive experience, focussed entirely in the present with no change-work involved, then Nature-Based Wellbeing will be a great choice for you.
Please reach out to me via email or my Contact page if you need any further support with your decision.

In-person EFPT sessions cost £160 for 2 hours. I offer a blended option of online and in-person which can be supportive of both physical and financial accessibility. Online sessions cost £100 for 90 minutes. A minimum of 6-8 EFPT sessions are usually required and will be contracted to safely support your movement through the therapeutic process.
EFHD sessions cost £75 per hour, for a minimum of 90 minutes up to 3 hours.
To allow sufficient time for you to reflect and build upon your insights or learning and for an appropriate level of safeguarding, a minimum of three EFHD sessions are required. These typically happen weekly or fortnightly.I maintain very little difference in pricing between these two options to limit financial barriers for clients who have committed to EFHD and need to “upgrade” to EFPT if a higher degree of need than originally presented emerges. I am also highly trained across multiple modalities and bring my experience in its fullest to every session, whether Human Development or Psychotraumatology.
Nature-Based Wellbeing sessions are £40 per hour.
These may be a single session or ongoing for as long as you require. Please visit the Services page for further information and the Terms and Conditions page for payment and other details.

This will be guided by your individual needs and progress and will very much be a collaborative decision. I do however insist that EFHD clients book a minimum of three 90 minute sessions; as our work together is deep and progressive, sufficient time must be dedicated to honour your process safely. Likewise, EFPT clients should anticipate a minimum 6-8 sessions which will be contracted following an initial consultation call, again to allow appropriate time to build emotional regulation skills and to engage, if you choose, in trauma processing safely.
Nature-Based Wellbeing sessions may be a single session or ongoing for as long as you require.
Please see the Services page for further details on both experiences.

You will need to be 16 years or older.

Absolutely. If your client/family member is aged 16 or over and has a high level of need I welcome your support to provide an appropriate level of safeguarding.
-
No. Though I am trauma-informed and EFHD sessions often elicit healing, they are not considered therapy and our focus will remain on the present and future possibilities. If you have clinical need or are seeking support with trauma or processing the past, I offer Equine Facilitated Psychotraumatology. EFHD sessions with me may also be an excellent augmentation to your work with another therapist and we can discuss what this collaborative approach could involve in a telephone consultation.

Sturdy boots are an absolute must. Please only wear footwear and clothing that you don’t mind getting a little (or when it’s rained, very!) muddy. It is always best to be prepared for changeable weather, so wear layers, including a waterproof one, bring a hat and sunscreen. I invite you to journal your learning and reflections, so bring a notebook or diary, too.
All other equipment and materials will be provided. If you’d like a hot drink please bring a metal or plastic flask (no glass please). I’ll ask for your dietary requirements when you book so I can provide light snacks.
